Dobru Hotel is located in the town of Slanic Moldova, which is first historically certified in the year 1755. The first mineral water spring has been discovered in the year 1800 by cavalry commander Mihai Spiridon, during a bear hunt in the forests of Slanic. Later on, in 1807, other springs have been discovered. In 1827 the first device for therapy baths has been erected and the rich men of those times could come there for baths (it has been destroyed during the first World War and rebuilt afterwards). Short after that, the mineral springs in Slanic Moldova have becomed famous. In 1832 the firts chemical tests have been run on water. Slanic Moldova resort is situated at an altitude of 530m, on the eastern side of the Eastern, in a depression crossed by Slanic river.
